How to Prepare Your Books for Donation
When preparing your books for donation, it’s essential to ensure they are packed properly for easy transport.
For more detailed guidance on how to pack and prepare your books for donation, you can refer to Brooklyn Book Bodega’s official donation guide.
Sort the books
Organize them by age group or category. For example:
- Picture books
- Early chapter books
- Young adult and high school books
Pack the books
Place books in sturdy banker’s boxes or Fresh Direct bags. These are easier to carry and make transportation much smoother. (Books can be heavy, so packing them in manageable containers is key!)
Label the boxes
Clearly label each box or bag with the book type or category. This will help Brooklyn Book Bodega sort them more efficiently.
