What a wonderful company! Mine was a business move between Brooklyn NY and New Jersey. JP Urban was totally professional and efficient in all aspects. Jazmin, my moving consultant, was great throughout. She was very nice, efficient and helpful. Nikki was quick in providing the certificate of insurance required by my building management. I received an informative email a few days prior confirming the details of the move from Jazmin. John, the dispatcher, was on top of my move and checked in throughout to make sure everything was going well. I was informed by text that the truck was on its way. It arrived early. Marcos was in charge of the crew and Alberto was the driver. The crew was excellent in wrapping/packing, loading, unloading and unpacking my furniture. I can't think of even the littlest detail I would change about my move and JP's procedures. I am happy I chose JP Urban and was actually looking forward to posting this well deserved review.

We moved from Bushwick to Sunset Park - on a February winter day with freezing rain. Manuel and his team made the move easy peasy. From the quote to the final piece of furniture being placed in our new apt- SMOOTH SEAMLESS PROFESSIONAL. Would give this company 100 stars. We've had real poop moving jobs before. But these guys were the absolute best! They took the time to wrap everything and handled everything with care. Great service can be hard to come by nowadays. We thank you so much!

JP URBAN MOVING is just wonderful! Dumbo Movers moved us out of our apartment. BAD choice! They broke the 6-foot marble dresser top into 3 pieces (they also "lost" its wall mirror and broke the glass tops to 2 small tables). We are suing them. We hired JP URBAN MOVING to transport the broken marble top to the repair facility. The movers were professional, on-time and efficient - and aghast at what Dumbo had done. They treated my poor marble top with great care. We hired them to take it to the facility, and then to return it to us once it was miraculously repaired. (Shout out to American Marble & Stoneworks, Inc. in Weehawken, NJ. Theo is an artisan & magician!) The JP office was efficient, friendly and responded quickly. Chris kept us apprised of the progress on the moving days. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced and trustworthy moving company, choose JP URBAN MOVING.

These folks did an absolutely outstanding job moving my Dad from his apartment into assisted living. It involved multiple stops, to and from storage, and they did the work carefully and quickly. Communication throughout the move was perfect. No surprises and a very fair price. Total professionals!

It was fast and easy to get an estimate and date availability from the company, as well as the COIs sent to the apartment mgmt. Reasonably priced, friendly, professional, hardworking and efficient, these guys made my move stress-free as possible. They showed up right on time, packed whatever I had not packed, carefully moved all my stuff into the truck and unloaded everything at the new apartment smoothly. They even mounted my tv onto the wall mount at the new apartment for me. The company also disposed of furniture for you for a fee, which not all moving companies do around here. I had a great experience and highly recommend JP Urban Moving!

JP Urban made a stressful interstate move so easy. They arrived on time, packed everything carefully (nothing was broken!), were so pleasant to work with, and even came in below their capped cost. The team on site put everyone in a good mood and listened carefully to complicated requests and instructions and got everything right. Working with the office was a pleasure. I've moved too many times and have never had the moving company be such a bright spot before. I'd highly recommend!

I did a deep dive researching moving companies for a move from NYC to Westchester. I cannot recommend JP Urban Moving more highly--they are the absolute best! I requested an estimate on line and heard back immediately from Moving Consultant Chris Trujillo who was a pleasure and total professional to work with from start to finish. I had several questions along the way and he answered all of them promptly and pleasantly.
In the days leading up to the move itself, he confirmed everything by text with me. Chris re-confirmed with me on the moving day itself and I heard from him and his crew with text updates throughout the morning. His fabulous crew of 4 movers (Roberto, "Q", Felipe and Gabriel) arrived at exactly 8AM and worked carefully and exactingly and efficiently to pack and move our furniture and boxes and then to unload them in the same manner at our destination.
The move took several hours less than anticipated and therefore the cost came in substantially under the estimate which was a very pleasant surprise. Anyone who wants to know that their belongings will arrive securely and in excellent condition should contact JP Urban Moving.

Perfection! I received bins prior to the move (a wonderful service) & as is common, was a little shocked at the amount of belongings I had accumulated. Every time I looked at the pile, I cringed at the thought of the stairs in my walk-up. But Felipe and crew? They handled it like it was NOTHING! AND... with a smile! My belongings were quickly assessed and I made notes on some of the more fragile or precious items... like my record collection. Everything was loaded onto the truck with EXTREME care & precision. And after all of that... the move ended early!
Prior to this experience, I had always moved myself. Never again and ALWAYS with JP Urban!

Had a really positive experience with JP Urban Moving for a move from Long Island to Westchester. They were the only company I reached out to to quote an hourly rate (others provided flat fee), and in the end the cost came in below what was estimated, which saved money compared what I would have paid with most of the flat rate quotes. The customer service on the phone was very helpful. Movers on the day of showed up on time, and were efficient and professional.

Amazing experience. We were so nervous about our move and they did it flawlessly. The estimate was very reasonable and they came in well under it so we paid even less. Manuel and his guys were fast, friendly, and total pros. They even arranged our furniture at the new place (and had way better ideas how than we did!!!)
Would recommend them without hesitation and can't imagine using anyone else next time.

Highly recommend hiring JP Urban Moving. Nothing but great things to say about my experience with them. From the start, booking was easy and straightforward. Their pricing is fair and explained thoroughly. Super communicative before and during the move. Friendly, professional and efficient moving team. They were moving and wrapping things so quickly yet carefully!! I have never seen people work so hard and efficiently. This was the first move I've had in which NOTHING was broken or damaged. We looked around at so many moving companies and I'm so glad we went with them. They are truly a five star worthy business.

UPDATE: I’m so glad I chose JP Urban Moving again - this time to move out of Brooklyn to VT (6-7 hour drive). I priced out bigger name companies for this move and they were way more expensive. And frankly, I didn’t trust that they would understand how to double park and move in Brooklyn. The move took a less time than anticipated, so was therefore less expensive than expected (a good thing)!
Roberto and his crew were fast, friendly, and kind. Jazmine, the dispatcher, checked in throughout the day. We felt very cared for.
So don’t hesitate to consider this moving company - especially if you’re moving out of the city.
April 2022: The hourly quote was very accurate and a good price. They have a better online inventory system for the quote than some other moving companies. The movers were fast, efficient, friendly and dealt with the double parking like a boss.

I have worked with them 3 times by now, and I have worked with a few other movers previously, but JP Urban Moving is by far the best mover you could ever wish for.
1: communication from the day 1 till even post move- crystal clear, attentive, very thoughtful and responsible
2: protected our furniture by wrapping them so well- they can disassemble and reassemble furnitures to an extent - if your furniture is expensive and need professional assembly, you can always hire another vendor they recommend, but I’ve never had issues with them disassembling or reassembling bed frames, cabinets, sofas, and shelvings.
3: the whole team is incredibly professional
4: movers team is also very polite and pay attention you the detail
In short, they are The Best mover ever!

As with many others, we had an extremely positive experience with our 300 mile move. It came in at a price that the next competitor claims it cant be done at. The initial remote review of the stuff to be moved went smoothly with Lina doing a great job of capturing everything. There was many followups to reassure nervous movers that things are on schedule. On the day of the move, they arrived on time. The loading did take longer than estimated as they were meticulous is protecting the furniture on top of our rather simple preparations. It took 3 hours longer than the expected 2 hours with a team of 5 led by Miguel. The next day, a team of 3 brough our stuff over early. Throught out the loading/unloading, the teams were easy to work with and very courteous. They started driving at 7 am, and arrived by 10.30 am. The unloading and reassembly took till 2 pm. They took as much of the waste material with them as possible. The total bill still came in below the garaunteed maximium, and with the 5% discount for cash payment. We highly recommend JP Movers and will use them again for our next move.
